I am posting total theory of Stock Market Astrology from the 'Beginning of Vedic Astrology' as intermediatery level and also KP Stellar Astrology as Graduate Level...

Lesson 06: Grahas...
Rishis called planet as "Graha" as per Sanskrit language...
In Sanskrit Graha means 'which captures'... which indicates, Grahas are capturing something... What they are capturing?
Grahas are capturing the unstable minds of human beings on the Earth !!!
People with stable mind and with divine will power cannot be captured by the Grahas... and thus these people conquer the effects of rays of the Planets... Grahas play with the weak minds a lot, and keep those people in their grips and make them their slaves... How to conquer these Grahas is not under the scope of our discussion...
So, Rishis considered Rahu and Ketu as Grahas according to the above notion...
Rahu and Ketu are just two points physically with no mass and volume but they are capturing the minds of Human Beings... Saints considered anything which is visible or not visible, as a Graha, if it can capture the mind of a being..
Saints had every genuine reason behind their thought... So we should never underestimate them and should strictly follow their fundamental concepts as blindly as possible...
How Grahas are capturing the minds of human beings?
Grahas can effect our minds, in tune with their inner nature...
"Inner Nature"...
Yes every planet is having its inner nature and some qualities...
When the minds of the human beings are under pressure, Grahas overtake those minds and induce their inner nature into those minds accordingly...
Suppose when the mind of a person is out of control due to an event causing irritation, then the Planet Mars with its inner nature of 'Anger' try to overtake that person's mind and thus controlling that person...
Moon plays with our Emotions... Saturn with our Fears and so on...
We must learn these qualities of each planet as deep as possible...

Lesson 05: Rahu and Ketu or Serpent's Head and Tail..
Our ancients were exploring with much enthusiasm about the space... They were much interested to know further about the Signs and Planets...
During that time, they noticed a horrifying scene in space...
"Sun was slowly covered by a dark sphere and suddenly a brilliant golden yellow ring appeared along the circumference of the Sun, and thus causing darkness on the Earth for a while and then the Sun recovered slowly and resumed its divine light again...''
People were horrified with this event... They feared that some evil events would happen soon... Some thought that a gigantic dark serpent swallowed the Sun... Some thought Sun was loosing His power and He would die soon... They started praying God for the divine Sun...
Within 15 days The Moon was also disappeared...!!?
People became panic and scared a lot...
Yes, in those days, these scenes were horrifying, because people were used to pray the Sun as a DIVINE GOD and they had given a special kind of affection in their hearts to the Moon as ''Chandamaama'', close relation etc...
Our scientific saints tried to find out actual reasons behind these scenes...
They noticed that these disappearances were common feature in every year... two or three such events can happen in every year... When three such events happened, saints observed that some natural calamities or irregular seasons or civil wars were happening...
And they also noticed that Sun was disappearing on Amavaasya and the Moon on Poornima thithies...
Saints used their Yogic Powers to find out the true reasons...
They learned that there is no such Gigantic Serpent as people were scaring about...
In fact there were two imaginary points in space which were the inter sectional points of the two planes made by the "Earth-Sun" ecliptic and "Earth-Moon" plane...
These two points were always 180 degrees apart from each other...
Great saints named these two imaginary points as "Rahu" and "Ketu"... Whenever this Rahu-Ketu axis is aligned with the Amavaasya or Poornima thithies of the Sun and the Moon... the later will be disappeared...
Saints called these disappearance of Sun and Moon as ''Soorya Grahanam'' and ''Chandra Grahanam''...
Dear readers, always remember that these Rahu and Ketu are just two imaginary points in space with no mass and volume... Rahu and Ketu always transit in the reverse direction against remaining planets, in anti clockwise... whereas the Sun and the Moon always transit in clockwise direction...
So, now we have now introduced with 12 Signs and 9 planets...!

Lesson 04: Thithies...
Saints named almost 60 such Lunar years or Samvatsaras... Which repeat in cyclic order for every 60 years..,
They divided each Paksha into 15 thithies... Each thithi is having an angle of 12 degrees... that is... when the angle between the Sun and the Moon is in the range of 0-11 degrees, corresponding thithi is called 'Amavaasya', between 12 to 23 'Vidiya', between 24 to 35 'Dwitheeya'... 'Thadiya' ... Chaturdhi... Panchami and so on...
Now, Seers were able to mention TIME of Shubmuhoortas as following...
''Favourable muhoorta for your marriage is in Vikrama nama samvatsara, Maagha maasa, Shukla paksha on Panchami thithi''...
And thus they recorded the events as mentioned above...
So, Seers were able to divide the TIME upto smallest period of a ''Thithi''...
1 Samvatsaram = 1 Year (Approx.)
1 Maasam = 1 Month (Approx.)
1 Paksha = 15 days (Approx.)

Now-a-days we follow English calendars... The basis for this Calendar is purely depends on the transition of Sun...
Sun moves roughly 1 degree per a day and thus completing 360 degrees of the Zodiac in 365.25 days... So here period of one day means the time between one Sunrise to the next Sunrise... Like that, Month means the time interval taken by the Sun to complete a sign... ie 30 Solar days... And so on...
Our Rishis were interested in so called ''Thithies''... which are based on the angle made by the Sun and the Moon...
How did they recognize the importance of this angle ?
Well, the main observation was over the waves on the sea...!
We know that during Full Moon day ripples on rivers or in huge lakes or ocean waves are much stronger and bigger and quiet opposite when Moon is absent in the sky...
What do you mean by Full Moon phase...? That means Sun is quiet opposite to the Moon and hence Moon is in full glow with opposite light received by the Sun... the angle between Sun and Moon will be 180 degrees during this phase and Saints named this phase as ''Poornima''...
When Sun and Moon are in the same degree, which means 'angle' between them is 0 degrees, and hence Sun is behind the Moon, so Moon will appear darker... Saints called this phase of the Moon as ''Amavaasya''... We have now two parts of this cycle, one from Amavaaysa to Poornima and again from Poornima to Amavaasya... As during first part, Glow of the Moon is growing continuously, rishies called it as 'Shukla Paksha' and the next part as 'Krishna Paksha'...
One Amavaasya to the next immediate Amavaasya was called as a Lunar Month or a 'Maasa'...

Zodiac is a plane consisting of the Sun and Earth as some points on it..
Slowly, they tried to divide the entire Zodiac into 12 signs, each consisting of 30 degrees...
They named these signs, according to the patterns formed by the group of stars in that sign...
12 signs are named as:
Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo,
Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces...
Now that Saints divided the entire Zodiac into 12 parts, they started studying the results when some planet is transiting, some particular sign of the zodiac...
Saints considered that the earth is the center for entire Universe and remaining bodies are revolving around the Earth... They fixed the positions of the Signs as mentioned above and tried to concentrate on the planetary movements and their corresponding results on the earth...
They used the sky as a Computer Monitor and observed for thousands of years... recording the results as manuscripts from generations to generations...
Saints were able to see 7 planets, (with psychic abilities)
Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn...
Yes, they considered Moon and Sun as planets...
Saints called these planets as "Graha" 's...
How did they differentiate planets and signs...?
One differentiation is that planets move and signs are fixed...
But how did they realize that planets are moving ?... what is the reference ?
Obviously the fixed signs are the reference... planets are moving with reference to fixed signs...
Now we have known about 12 fixed signs and 7 planets...
Moon is the fastest moving planet transiting one Sign at the rate of roughly two and a quarter days... Saturn is the slowest planet which covers one Sign in two and half years...
